Raging sea, little fish find shelter

Working with paper is central to Catherine Loiret’s creations, and she is perfecting her own method of production.

What renders “paper art” works so unusual is their textured, torn appearance, being made from linen rags in paper mills.

Paper, a symbol of fragility and strength, embodies a shifting equilibrium between what is veiled, hidden and unveiled.

The little fish, partially visible, catches the eye and piques the curiosity of the viewer… at least, if they actually see it.
